Wireless Access Point
It is a device that sends and receives data signals from the devices that are connected in a network to establish communication. It is also referred as transceiver because it transmits and receives data signals A transceiver enables a user to connect two or more wireless devices and communicate with other users In addition, a wireless AP acts as a point of interconnection between Wireless Local Area Network(WEAN) and a fixed network.
AP can be classified into two types, such as Hardware AP and Software AP. Hardware AP establishes a connection between two devices, whereas Software AP makes your device act as AP for local wireless networks. The number of APs can be increased on the basis of the number of network users and the physical size of a network.
