What is screen resolution?

Screen resolution is the term used to tell how many pixels you will be able to push into your monitor. Pixel is the smallest unit or dot that gets displayed on the screen. The collection of such dots gives u a picture on the screen. If you have a 15.6 inch display with resolution of 1366×768, it means your monitor is able to pack in total of 1,049,088 pixels to display on the monitor.

Some other common screen resolutions are 1280 x 800, 1680 x 1050, and 1920 x 180
