Using -a Option

When you use the -a option with the nbtstat command, table. The syntax of the command is:

nbtstat -a [host name or IP address]

In the preceding syntax,you can simply replace the appropriate entries. For example:

nbtstat -a dinesh-Pc

 

The NetBIOS remote machine name table contains four columns: Name, Identifier, Type, and Status. The Name column shows the NetBIOS name for remote host machine. The Identifier shows the two-digit hexadecimal identifier for each NetBIOS name. The identifier denotes the last byte of the NetBIOS name represented in the name column. The Type column shows the type of NetBIOS name. Unique NetBIOS names represent the individual hosts, whereas group names represent the logical groupings of workstations which can be either domains or workgroups. The Status column shows the information, about the status of a host’s NetBIOS.
