The File Server

The File Server

A user can save a file in the hard drive located on the file server. If the user wants to access the file later, he/she can access it from the file server by using a network connection. It is better to assign a central location for the storage of files on a server. Doing this makes it easy to provide a backup of important files and implement a fault-tolerance system, such as the Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks (RAID). The services of the file server require a large bandwidth and can slow down a network when there are many users.
