Straight-Through Cable
Straight-through cable is a special type of twisted-pair cable that has RJ-45 connectors at both the ends. This type of cable is used to connect devices, such as computers and printers, to networking devices, such as hubs and switches. It can also be used to directly connect similar devices; for instance, two hubs or two switches if the cable is plugged into an uplink port on one of the devices. The straight-through cable has four wires.
