IEEE 802.11n
IEEE 802.11n, signed in 2009, is the latest standard of the 802.11 series. This standard supports a maximum of data transmission speed of 600 Mbps. The modulation scheme used is OFDM and the security protocols are WEP and WPA. The frequency range for this standard can be 5 GHz or 2.4 GHz. This standard includes multiple input and multiple output (MIMO) antennae for increased data throughput.
