IEEE 802.11g
The IEEE 802.11g standard, released in 2002, is one of the extensions in the series of the 802.11 standard. Similar to the 802.11b standard, IEEE 802.118 also works at the same frequency range of 2.4 GHz. The rate of data transfer is up to 54 Mbps. Also, this standard does not support FHSS technique. The signals are generated through the DSSS modulation scheme along with CCK for a data transmission rate lower than 20 Mbps while through the OFDM modulation scheme for a data transfer rate of more than 20 Mbps.
