Enabling Telnet in Windows 7
By default, Windows 7 operating system is not enabled with Telnet utility. To use Telnet utility, you need to first enable it in the Windows 7 operating system. Perform the following steps to enable telnet utility in windows 7:
- Click the Start button, c
- Click the Control Panel option.
- Click the turn windows feature on or off link in the programs and feature section in the program.
- Select the telnet client and telnet server check boxes
- Click the OK button
A Microsoft windows message box appears that shows the message please wait while windows makes changes to feature.
After changing the windows feature, the Microsoft windows massage box close and you need to reboot the computer.
You can open the telnet utility by typing the Telnet in the search text box of start menu and then press the enter key.
