Define share capital.
The capital collected by the company issuing shares to the public is known as share capital. It is also called ownership capital. According to company Act, 2063 section 25, the face value of share will be Rs. 100 per share. Thus , the amount inverted by the shareholders towards the nominal value of the shares is collectively known as share capital.
