A Database Administrator (DBA) is a person responsible for making strategic and policy decisions regarding data and the database as well as controlling all the operating of database. Database Administrator provides necessary strategic and technical supports for the implementation and controlling of database operations.
The role of Database Administrator is to:
- Design the database.
- Monitor the database and its performance.
- Design and implement the security policies.
- Define the backup and recovery process of the database.
