Alternatively referred to as a video game, a game is software code designed to entertain or educate an individual. Today, computer gaming is a big business, and there are millions of different computer games that are enjoyed by people of all ages. The picture shows a screenshot of a computer game known as PUBG.
Who Invents first video game in the world.
In October 1958, Physicist William Higinbotham created what is thought to be the first video game. It was a very simple tennis game, similar to the classic 1970s video game Pong, and it was quite a hit at a Brookhaven National Laboratory open house.
Higinbotham was born on October 25, 1910 in Bridgeport, CT and grew up in Caledonia, NY.
He graduated from Williams College in 1932, and then went to graduate school in physics at Cornell University. At Cornell as a graduate student he worked as an electronics technician.
How are computer games made?
The code for games is created using a programming language. The graphics contained in the game that are not created through programming are created using an image editor. If the game uses animation or 3D modeling animation software is also used.
DISADVANTAGES OF GAME
- Games are addictive.
When people tend to get more attracted to the game and they play it excessively than they should, it can be called addiction and this is not good at all. They’re wasting their whole time with games, missing the opportunities outside the virtual world of games. Unless one wants and have absolute confidence that he can make a career out of gaming, then this point is not for them.
- Can affect life of the player.
Majority of players are teenagers and teenagers have studies to do and growing responsibilities to handle. But, once they get into gaming and take it seriously which they should not, their career has possibility of getting side tracked. As a result of excessive gaming, their studies are negatively impacted and socially, they become dull.
- Can have negative socializing impact.
Yes, players are usually not that socially active and they tend to have weak relationships with their families. This is because of games being mostly violent and playing violent games excessively, makes even the player go violent as studies say. Hence, in the end, they have negative social impact.
ADVANTAGES OF GAME
- Improves mental abilities.
Games can improve mental ability of a human. This is because, there are many plots in games, where player has used their skills to survive and level up. And playing these kind of games moderately, can really improve mental abilities. It is also said that, games can improve the multitasking abilities to certain extent though it is not suggested to multitask.
- Multiplayer games improve mutual understanding between teams.
Multiplayer games, played in teams, are one of the most played games. They also tend to improve the understanding between each person in the team and hence, they can play better in team than solo. This also increases communication skills.
